People often turn to magazines for fashion and style inspiration. Unfortunately, when reading a magazine, there is no easy way for readers to purchase what they see. To solve for this, we imagined a magazine-like experience that made it fun and easy to discover and purchase Zappos products.

Zappos Now was created to provide a lean-back experience that let readers browse articles and editorial layouts on fashion, gifting, and travel. Every item featured in ZN could quickly and easily be purchased.

Taking advantage of the benefits of a native app to provide surprise and delight, spreads were highly interactive allowing readers to use gesture navigation and orientation shifts to receive more information and bonus features.

An overwhelming amount of positive feedback was received from readers, but producing each issue of ZN required a tremendous amount of effort. Rather than risk not delivering the best customer experience, we decided to sunset the app. The insights gained from ZN would later be used to create Glance.
