Logitech Revue with Google TV

Logitech Revue with Google TV

Google launched Google TV to combine the entire Web and all available TV content in one place, with one interface – eliminating the need to toggle back and forth between multiple screens.

To help bring Google TV to life, Logitech partnered with Google to create Revue, the first retail companion box to work with the platform, delivering Google TV to the 60 million HDTVs already in U.S. living rooms at that time. The goal of Revue was to bring together the power of the Internet with traditional TV in a simple and easy to use experience.

Logitech approached Smart Design to help carry out this vision through creating key experiences for the platform, including the Music Player and Customer Care apps.

Research was conducted to understand and validate customer needs to ensure the apps provided a best-in-class experience that supported the overarching Logitech Revue with Google TV offering of easily finding, accessing, and interacting with traditional and interactive content. The design was built around quick access, instant interaction, and simple yet elegant interfaces.
